Are You Passionate About Your Fitness Training?

Most western countries namely the UK, US, Europe, Australia and so forth are full of people who are fat, obese, overweight and unfit. When we started out in life, we did not have to look far for the reasons to keep fit. Being attractive to genders of the opposite sex is a huge incentive to keep fit. Wanting to be the best lover you can ever be and last longer than most is another big incentive.

As we grow older, our outlook and attitudes changes, and so as our priorities. Kids and grand children came along and take up whatever free time we have left. The radio, television, computer games and other time wasting activities takes up the rest of our time. And no wonder we always complain of not having enough time to keep fit.

The internet is full of information, most are crap, but if you take the time to look around, you can find sites that are putting out informative and well researched information. But how many of us are really working on the things we read about? Very few indeed.

With so many distractions around, it is an impossible mission to try and maintain our physical conditions. We keep putting things off eventhough we know that there is no right time to exercise. We became lazy, inactive, careless and lose hope.  We also tend to use every excuse in the world to justify to ourselves why we shouldn’t get up early every day and run.

If you want to stay on track long enough to see the benefits of your training programme on your body, on your mind, on your way of thinking, then look for a passion to keep exercising. If you mix that passion with some definitions of purpose (the why if you like) then you will not find it hard to keep getting up and do what most people don’t like doing.

Look for that inner passion. The reasonswhy you live life. The reason why you want to leave a healthy and fit lifestyle.  Then when you find it, no longer will circumstances gets in your way, excuses will not fly and nothing will ever stand between you and your training programme.

Try it. Find one burning reason why you need to train and improve your physical condition. You will find that in no time, you will be dedicated to your training routine like you have never been before.

By sticking to your training programme fueled by your passion, you will find that your abdominals will take shape, you will get more toned, lose fat, become more fitter.  Training will then become second nature and you will start living life from a new higher level.

One Easy Way to Lose Weight and Get Fit

With the kind of demands people have on their time these days, it is no surprise that many of us find it hard to shed those extra kilos especially the fat around your mid section and abdomen.

However, one should not stop trying to do the right thing because of a lack of progress. Keep going, keep looking for ways to get fitter and lose weight and don’t ever give up. You may be closer to your success and a new fitter body than you think.

One way to quickly lose fat from your whole body is to play your favourite sport. Read that line again. It is true.

If you haven’t been active for a long time and don’t really know of any sport to take up, look around and pick a sport that you can have some enjoyment from. There are so many sports these days that there shouldn’t really be any problem in picking one that appeals to you the most.

For a start, if you are into team sports – go for rugby, football or soccer, hockey, baseball, netball, swimming sports or any of the other team sports.

If you are not really into team sports then go for tennis, squash, boxing, badminton, biking, rowing or even martial arts.

As you can see, there are no shortage of sports for you to take up. All you need to evaluate is how much a sport will cost, whether you find any enjoyment from doing it and pick one. Often you don’t really need to enjoy doing a particular sport because you will find that if you start doing it, you will soon learn to start enjoying it. Most of the time it’s the ”getting start stage” that is the hard part. Once you get started, it will be very easy to keep going.

The best thing about taking up a sport is that in time, your focus will mainly be on getting fit for that sport, turning up for training, getting to know the other team mates and of course turning up every weekend to play your chosen sport. By taking the focus away from losing weight, you will also find that the benefits from getting fit and turning up for training will soon make you lose fat !

How cool is that ha? Killing two birds with one stone by playing a sport that you enjoy and reaping the benefits from that particular sport.

Dumbbell Training for Strength and Fitness

One way for you to get fit without joining the gym is to purchase some dumbbells and do dumbell training for strength and fitness yourself. The advantages of doing this is mainly convenience working out from the comfort of your own home.

Dumbbells are also convenient to store and don’t take up a large space of your home. You don’t have to dedicate any space for training unless you have ample space. You only need to take them out for training and then store them away afterwards. I normally train with dumbbells when I am watching TV.

Dumbbells are cheaper to buy if you shop around. You don’t even have to buy pairs. What I would do is probably to buy one dumbbell at different weights for example, 2.5kgs, 5kg, 10kg and 20kgs. It might be harder to buy just one dumbbell but look around for end of stock sales or second hand shops. If you still prefer buying a pair in case you may lose one, then that is entirely up to you.

In your dumbbell training for strength and fitness routine, try and use compound exercises. That means you can do exercises like shoulder presses and raises which affects the large muscles.  After warming up, start out with smaller weights first and then move up to the heavier weights at the end of the workout.

I often use shoulder presses, bicep curls, side bends, side raises and bench presses using a bench. If done properly, there is no reason you can’t get a lot out of your dumbbell training for strength and fitness in the same way that you can, from a normal gym workout. But please be realistic, a dumbbell training for strength and fitness routine will never match the intensity and ability of a normal gym workout to stress your muscles thoroughly.

Please remember that working out with dumbbells should only be a temporarily arrangement and you should not depend on it for your ongoing fitness training. While dumbbells training are effective, they are best suited to times when you cannot go to the gym, when you are away on holiday and so forth.

On the other hand, if you don’t have access to a gym then by all means stick to your dumbbell training for strength and fitness program.
